bellissima, but are you sure your cross teeth is the real one?

traps have an unsual looks, teeth not crossed and form of traps is not like others cross teeth i have or i saw on forum.

ho visto un paio di foto di quest'ultima e somiglia molto alla tua della foto

tieni però presente che il clone "cross teeth" di klein è diverso da tutti gli altri; lo dice anche lui nella descrizione accanto al nome, per cui non so...

Carlo 87 hai ragione...non ricordavo la dicitura che aveva messo Klein.

i also have fused tooth china, and fusedc tooth china is just one cross teeth, i think chinese receive one cross teeth and re-named it, after this one was sent to klein and klein named it fused tooth china.

3 name = 1 plant:
1- fused tooth china
2- cross teeth
3- red long finger

perhaps i 'm wrong and it's one cross teeth but it doesn't look usual.

Well, I asked on skype the origin of the plant to Alex as I saw the picture, because “Cross teeth” is a really peculiar plant, absolutely different from that of the picture and well recognizable. Now I read that Klein is commercializing a “Cross teeth” -different from the usual offered clones from other sources-, an this is quite frustrating: I consider Klein the best seller of all, but commercialize another “Cross teeth” different from the common one is absurd, and only font of confusion (and I’m fighting hard the proliferation of unuseful pseudocultivars and clones). I think that this plant will be more similar to ‘Fused’ than “Cross teeth”.
I have to say that this wrong “Cross teeth” is the second I see in the time of a week, so I’m really puzzled!
Alex, if I were you I would ask some explanation to Klein about the origin of the plant, and grow it to see what happens.

Cross teeth is a really peculiar Dionaea, with a distinct and clear mutation of petiole and trap shape (and also of the flower). As Julien said, there are some plants similar to “Cross teeth”. I can’t say if these are “Cross teeth” or crosses, but they are really similar. Another plant of this group is “Webbed teeth”.

La cosa che mi stupisce di questa storia che qui come in altri forum di altri paesi ci innervosiamo quando un neofita nella coltivazione di dionee trova una pianta in un garden che ricorda vagamente un clone specifico e gli affibia la stessa denominazione del clone che gli si accosta di più.

Più e più volte ho letto che ragazzi venivano ripresi per questa storia o per storie analoghe a questa, dicendo che non si può assegnare un nome specifico ad una pianta se non derivante da talea o divisione della pianta riconosciuta come tale.

Quindi stupisce anche a me che un professionista come è certamente Klein faccia di questi "errori".

Vi posso dire che la pianta è molto graziosa e ugualmente particolare ma ancora una volta (ed è il 3° anno) andrò alla ricerca di una Cross Teeth.

i have this 3 plants and they are the same.

im agree with steam sell one news clone and name it 'cross teeth' can make lot of confusion.

"Cross Teeth" e "Long red fingers" sono davvero molto simili, ma se non sbaglio sono cloni creati da Triffid Park (nursery australiana) e da loro commercializzati, quindi non credo che sia la stessa pianta nonostante la somiglianza.
Se invece mi sbaglio e loro sono solo rivenditori, allora potrebbe essere che si tratti di uno stesso clone, ma non credo.

Perdonatemi allora mi state dicendo che Cross Teeth sta ad indicare una pianta con denti incrociati e basta o come sapevo indica una pianta ben precisa con caratteristiche precise?

Perchè se la seconda ipotesi è giusta, Klein sta vendendo un prodotto che non può chiamare Cross Teeth.

plants travel, one plant named cross teeth arrived in australia, and it is re-named long red fingers, after several years same plant arrived in china, and one guy re-named it fused tooth china, after plant come back in europe with new name.

it is hypotethical but it's like this, plant have name, some people re-name it and make lot of confusions.

with klein one strange thing, he sell one fused tooth called fused tooth extrem, but the real fused tooth(registred by d'amato) is very very fused, difficult to have one fused more extrem than this one, why sell on other fused that is less fused than the real one?
